I get sad when he's not around.

I was at grandma's all day,

and I knew my cousin was close by.

I kept waiting for him to show up,

or for mommy to bring me over to see him.

 I woke up and went outside,

but I'm ready to go back to sleep.

Hitting the Road . . .

Mommy woke me up, yesterday morning,

and said it was time to head back home to Washington.

I slept most of the way.

 Home sweet home.

I went outside this morning
to make sure everything was as I left it.

 I'll miss my new friend.

We bonded.

We had a great time, 

but now it's time to go home.

I already can't wait to get back to the beach.
